scary squirrel world WHEN SKWERLS ATTACK

Patriots, after publishing our reports on the Mountain View park incidents in California, we received the usual correspondence from unrepentant skwerlhuggers protesting our characterization of their precious bushytails as maniacal nutzys.

For those who don't know, vicious skwerls attacked innocent visitors to Cuesta Park in Mountain View, a town south of San Francisco, California, on at least two separate occasions in September 2006 and February 2007 (see link below).

CLICK FOR COMMENTS The Cuesta Park attacks drew international attention from the media. Much was made of the incidents and there was wild speculation as to their cause (click reporter for comments).

Of course, we exposed the assaults for what they were: yet further proof of the bushytail horde's plan for squirrel world domination.

This prompted the minions of squirrel world domination to flood our inbox with protests...

"I love squirrles how sad that you would hold all squirles responsible for the actions of a few! Remeber we are all Gods' creatures and we have built on the land that they inhabit so we should try and cohabitate. My girls and I feed them in the park and not once have I seen an agressive squirle as a matter of fact there really aren't many squirel attacks, do the research."

Well, skwerlhugger I Love Squirrles, it's hard to do the research when everytime we think we've got a spare moment, something like this happens:

Squirrel attacks two parents, student in San Jose, California
Marisa Lagos, Chronicle Staff Writer - Wednesday, May 9, 2007

An 11-year-old student and two parents at Evergreen Elementary School got a scare this morning when a squirrel ran into the building and attacked them, drawing blood in two cases, school officials said.

All three victims were treated for bites and scratches at a local hospital, said district spokesman Will Ector, and all are undergoing rabies treatment as a precaution. They also were administered antibiotics, he said.

The attack occurred as a classroom of first-graders was preparing to go on a field trip, said Ector. Two parent chaperones were standing in the room when a squirrel ran in and then up the leg of one of the parents, he said.

"They were trying to get it off and another parent was trying to assist in getting it off," he said. "In the process, both were bitten. One was nipped on the fingertip and scratched on the arm, and the other parent was bitten on the arm."

Finally, the squirrel jumped off the mom, did a loop around the classroom, then ran out the door and jumped on an 11-year-old student walking by. She was bitten on the arm as well, Ector said.

San Jose Police spokesman Sgt. Nick Muyo said police received a call around 8:45 a.m. alerting them to the attack. The student and one of the parents were bitten hard enough to draw blood, he said.

They were taken to the hospital by ambulance after being treated by the school's health services, Ector said. The other parent drove herself to the hospital, he added.

After the attack, Ector said, the school went into a lockdown as a safety precaution.

There you have it. Yet more indisputable proof that drooling chitterboxes are dangerous assasins.

But two other pertinent points need to be noted: 1) the Evergreen Elementary attack happened just a few miles from the Cuesta Park incidents; and 2) the Associated Press, in a separate report, identified the skwerlien culprit as a "ground squirrel" while the Cuesta Park assasins are tree squirrels.

These points are relevant because they confirm that the bushytail horde is making a concerted effort to terrorize the Bay Area of California; and that at least two distinct species of skwerl are involved in the plot.

And what about skwerlhugger I Love Squirrles contention that there aren't that many skwerl attacks? Well, Patriots, isn't just one onslaught by a depraved nutzy one more than necessary? However, Tufty the Traffic Safety Squirrel, crazed despot and leader of the Squirrel Enforcement Army revealed all when he said...

"We've no need to do more than nip at humankind's heels. Why? Because they're doing a brilliant job of destroying themselves. We simply bide our time, bide our time... and now and then give 'em a bit of the ol' ultra-violence..."

Indeed...
