Squirrel, oh so sleek and silvered
Behind the screen door
Taunting, taunting
Taunting the house cats
"You cannot get me",
You seem to say, merry tail twitching
"You cannot catch me"
You boast and brag, little ears wiggling
So bold, so full of life and love

Until....

I open the screen
You lousy little buggers!!
Watch my cats rip you up
To pieces
Sleek little squirrel?
Laughing now?
Bah!
Not when you're lunch!
