CAMPUS ALERT!!! PATRIOTS, GET YOUR WHACKIN' STICKS!

Squirrels are taking over our colleges and universities, corrupting students and faculty.
The latest report comes from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida

Before I explain how my school is overrun by squirrels, I'd like to say that I found Amy's University of Washingtion #2 story very upsetting. Why would she be dumb enough to feed a wild animal? Now all the squirrels that she has been feeding are dependent on her feeding them.

Squirrels are not domesticated animals for us to be walking around giving them our food. They may not be wild ferocious animals, but they are still wild animals! By making them very comfortable with humans, they are now dependent on us feeding them, and comfortable around something that may be of danger to them. To make them that comfortable in an urban setting is very dangerous for them just as it is any other wild animal.

On that note, I am a student at the University of Central Florida. Our campus has been invaded by squirrels. In fact, before you throw your garbage away you have to quickly push open the garbage can to make sure there are no squirrels inside. If there are, they may jump out at you while you are trying to put your garbage in the can.

They will also run you over if you are in their way while walking to class, and if you are carrying around food, hold it close because they will run up to you and snatch it right out of your hands! It is quite comical to watch them running around raiding the campus as if they own the place!
